Join us for this richly layered performance blending tradition, improvisation, and contemporary sound featuring guest artist and UCT PhD candidate Selamawit Aragaw, featuring marimba, vibraphone, sax, uhadi, nyunga-nyunga and more!

The Cape Town Woodwind Festival presents the Cape Town Philharmonic Woodwinds: Gabriele von Dürckheim (flute), Lisa White (oboe), Ferrol-Jon Davids (clarinet) and Simon Ball (bassoon).

Led by rising vocal artist Esha Parbhoo, Ragas Beyond Borders aims to celebrate cultural diversity by blending Indian and Western musical traditions.

The David Aldred Memorial Prize for Sopranos with each participant includes one of Strauss’s Four Last Songs in her programme.

UCT Big Band joins the global jazz community in commemorating International Jazz Day which falls on 30 April, as declared by UNESCO.

The 2025 South African College of Music UCT Symphony Orchestra Showcase, conceptualised and conducted by Brandon Phillips with performances by students in Opera, Classical, Jazz and African/Pan African music sections with MC Alan Committee.

Dr Rebeca Omordia presents African Pianism, a musical tapestry of works from all over the African continent.

The Cape Town Steelband Festival is presented in collaboration with the South African College of Music.
